Yesterday 14th May we played our first friendly of the year at Chislehurst. Unfortunately the rain bucketed down and although we were offered a respite by only playing nine holes we gamely carried on only to lose 4 - 0. Vicky did her best to salvage the situation but lost on the 18th when the opposition holed a 20 ft putt! Anne Prout sunk long putts too, to no avail. Pat C had to give them a total of 8 shots and with partner Pat E finding bits of rough even the Chislehurst ladies didn't know about we didn't stand much of a chance. Special thanks go to Mo who never reads her emails so didn't know she had was playing. She was telephoned at the last minute and turned up on time. Not a lot of people can do that. We shall seek revenge next year when we meet them at home
Faversham, the winner of our group have beaten Mid Kent in the third round. They now meet Hever Castle in the semi final.
